Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
Terms and Conditions
1. Welcome and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Permit Pilot Navigation Corp ("PPNC," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our mobile application, website, routing tools, and associated platforms (collectively, the "Service"), you ("Carrier," "Driver," or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Driver Responsibility and Routing Disclaimer
CRITICAL NOTICE FOR CARRIERS AND DRIVERS: THE STATE-ISSUED DOT OVERSIZE/OVERWEIGHT PERMIT IS THE SOLE ULTIMATE LEGAL AUTHORITY.
Navigation Aid Only: PPNC provides secondary routing software and navigation assistance tools. The Service is NOT a substitute for official Department of Transportation (DOT) permits, state law requirements, or professional driver judgment.
Driver Responsibility: The driver and carrier maintain 100% legal and operational responsibility for confirming that the physical route driven strictly matches the official DOT permit route.
Bridge Clearances and Weight Limits: The driver is solely responsible for verifying overhead clearances, weight restrictions, temporary road closures, construction hazards, and turning radii prior to and during transport.
Route Deviations: Any deviation from the official permit route, whether suggested by our navigation aid, requested by traffic conditions, or initiated by the driver, is made at the sole discretion and legal risk of the driver and carrier. PPNC assumes zero liability for fines, tickets, bridge hits, property damage, accidents, delays, or permit revocations resulting from route deviations or reliance on navigation aids.
3. Payment Processing
PPNC does not collect, process, or store payment information, financial details, or credit card numbers. All billing and payment transactions are processed strictly by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. You agree to abide by the terms and policies of those payment processors when completing transactions for the Service.
4. Communications, SMS, and Channel Opt-Out Policy
By providing your contact information, you consent to receive administrative, transactional, operational, marketing, and other communications from PPNC, including text messages (SMS) and emails regarding your account, route updates, service alerts, or other marketing messages.
Carrier Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS communications depending on your mobile carrier and service plan. Message frequency varies based on service usage.
Channel-Specific Opt-Outs: Opting out of communications on one channel (for example, replying STOP to unsubscribe from SMS text alerts) does NOT automatically opt you out of communications on other channels (such as email notifications or in-app alerts). You must manage your communication preferences independently for each channel.
5. Third-Party Mapping Services
Our Service may integrate with or provide links to third-party mapping services, including Google Maps. PPNC does not control third-party mapping software, and your use of external mapping applications is subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of those third parties. PPNC is not responsible for map accuracy, routing variations, or service outages occurring within third-party platforms.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All software, proprietary algorithms, website design, mobile applications, trade names, logos, and routing technology provided through the Service are the exclusive intellectual property of PPNC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service solely for obtaining routing for any DOT permits you provide to us.
7. Account Termination and Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms of Service, engaged in fraudulent activity, or misused the routing tools in a manner that compromises transport safety or system integrity.
8. Limitation of Liability and Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee real-time accuracy, road condition updates, or continuous GPS service availability.
In no event shall PPNC, its parent entities, affiliates, software providers, or officers be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including loss of freight revenue, vehicle damage, state fines, or tow charges) arising out of the use or inability to use the Service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
10. Terms of Service Support and Contact
If you have questions regarding these Terms of Service, please reach out directly via our Contact Us page and select General Inquiry.
Privacy Policy
Permit Pilot Navigation Corp ("PPNC") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal and location information across our websites, applications, and routing services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide specialized heavy-haul routing and navigation assistance:
Personal and Business Identifiers: Name, email address, company/carrier name, company details such as number of trucks, and telephone number.
Permit Data: Any applicable business and routing information provided in the permits uploaded to our site for routing.
System and Usage Data: Web browser type, IP address, traffic data, links selected, access timestamps, device identifiers, and operating system details.
Survey and Contact Forms: Information submitted directly to us or via contact forms.
Payment Data Exclusions: PPNC does NOT collect or store sensitive payment or credit card details. All financial payments are handled strictly through secure third-party payment processors.
2. How We Use Personal and Location Information
We use the collected information for the following core operational purposes:
Navigation and Routing: Generating specialized route overlays, providing turn-by-turn navigation routing in a Google Maps link, and validating route adherence to the best of our ability.
Administrative Operations: Transaction management, administrative communications, SMS alerts, customer service responses, and system maintenance.
Service Optimization: Analyzing aggregated usage metrics, telemetry reliability, app functionality, and interface improvements.
3. Privacy Communications and Preference Management
We may send you operational, transactional, or marketing communications via email, SMS, or in-app notifications.
Opting out from one communication method (e.g., unsubscribing from text messages by texting STOP) will only remove you from that specific channel. It will not automatically opt you out of other channels like email or direct account notifications. To opt out of all optional communications, you must update your preferences on each respective channel or submit a request on our Contact Us page.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only under the following conditions:
Account Customers / Fleets: Sharing permits and route data with the carrier or fleet operator managing your account.
Service Providers: Third-party vendors (e.g., mapping engines, cloud hosting providers, SMS gateways, payment processors) bound by strict confidentiality.
Legal Compliance: We only disclose details when required by law, court order, regulatory mandate, or to protect rights and safety.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Service utilizes cookies and related web tracking technologies to store user preferences, automate form completion, and measure site navigation patterns.
Cookies are text files placed on your hard drive by web servers to customize your experience. You may disable cookies through your web browser settings; however, certain navigation features may become unavailable as a result.
6. Security and Data Retention
Security: We employ industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information and route telemetry from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Note that standard email communication is unencrypted and should not be used to transmit highly sensitive information.
Retention: We retain personal and routing data for as long as necessary to fulfill business obligations, maintain legal audit logs, resolve disputes, and manage ongoing customer relationships.
7. Social Media and Public Forums
Any content, submissions, or messages posted to public social media pages (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn) or shared online outside our official application environment are done at your own risk. We cannot control third-party platforms or guarantee privacy on public forums.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is strictly designed for commercial vehicle operators and carriers. It is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from individuals under 18.
9. Your Rights and State Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under state privacy laws regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. You may also request restrictions on data processing or opt out of non-essential communications.
10. Privacy Contact Information
To exercise your privacy rights, or if you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy, please reach out to us via our Contact Us page and select General Inquiry.
